Looking for a subtle way to straighten your teeth? Look no further than Invisalign clear aligner therapy. In Shelby Township, MI, the Fredal Orthodontics team can help you determine if Invisalign is right for you and what your treatment plan should look like.

What Is Invisalign®?

Unlike metal braces, which use obvious hardware, Invisalign uses a series of clear aligners to shift teeth into new positions. Because the appliances are clear, they are virtually invisible, so you can straighten your teeth without everyone noticing.

Invisalign is ideal for correcting misalignment, crooked teeth, excess spacing, and bite problems like underbite, overbite, and crossbite. Our team will evaluate your smile and let you know if Invisalign is a viable orthodontic option for you.

Benefits of Clear Aligner Therapy

Invisalign offers a number of benefits when compared to metal braces.

  • Invisalign aligners are discreet, and you can remove them when needed, like when you’re eating and drinking.
  • The aligner trays are designed to fit your teeth and won’t irritate your gums.
  • The Invisalign technology allows us to plan your treatment precisely, so you’ll know when you can expect your new, beautiful smile.

In our Orthodontic Practice we utilize Invisalign to treat cases of all misalignments including deep bites, surgical cases, open bites, underbites and more. If you or your child prefer to be treated with Invisalign, we have you covered!

The Invisalign® Process

The process of straightening your teeth with Invisalign starts with a consultation. During this initial appointment, we’ll take a look at your teeth and determine if you’re a candidate for clear aligner therapy. We will also do a quick scan of your teeth to begin creating your custom treatment plan. In fact, you’ll be able to see a digital rendering of your new smile during your first appointment!

Once your first set of aligners is ready, you’ll visit our office to show you how to put them in. We will also go over things like how long you should wear your aligners each day and how to care for them.

You’ll come back to our office approximately every 10 weeks so we can monitor your progress. This allows us to make adjustments as we go along, ensuring that we achieve your smile goals. These appointments are also when you’ll get new sets of aligners, so it’s important to make these appointments.
